Ruby on Rails Developer
#MidWe are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to take ownership of two established applications: one requires a Rails upgrade and refactoring, while the other requires the integration of two systems.

We are currently looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to take ownership of two applications. In one of them, the key task is upgrading Rails to the latest version, removing outdated gems and refactoring the most important components. In the other, the priority is integrating two systems. We are looking for someone ready to join a project that has been in development for several years.
Technology stack:
Ruby, Rails, Puma, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, Sidekiq, GitHub Actions, Docker and Heroku/Render.
Your responsibilities:
- upgrading and refactoring existing applications,
- writing tests in RSpec and maintaining code quality,
- configuring CI/CD and preparing deployments,
- working with the client and the project team.
We expect:
- practical and effective use of AI tools such as Codex, Claude Code or others in line with an AI-native approach,
- 3+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails experience across the full software development lifecycle, including refactoring, upgrades and developing new features,
- very good knowledge of designing and optimizing relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and MySQL,
- practical knowledge of application testing tools and techniques, including RSpec and Minitest,
- the ability to use tools that support application scalability and architecture, including Sidekiq, Docker and Redis,
- experience with modern frontend technologies such as Turbo and Stimulus, as well as React.js in the context of integration with Ruby on Rails applications,
- the ability to design and implement RESTful APIs using Grape,
- familiarity with application monitoring and performance analysis tools such as New Relic and Sentry,
- practical knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS and Heroku.
